Sukhasana – Easy Pose

Sukhasana, or easy pose, is a beginner level position that aims to stretch and align your knees, ankles, spine and glutes.

The health benefits associated with the sukhasana pose primarily focuses on calming and clearing your mind whilst also relaxing the posture of your upper body and stretching your hips. With decreased mental stress, fatigue and anxiety you’ll quickly begin to embrace a new sense of perspective to your immediate surroundings.

However, if you have recently suffered from hip injury, you should always consult a doctor before attempting the position. If possible, always arrange to learn this position under the supervision of an experienced teacher.
