Swastikasana – Auspicious Pose

Swastikasana, or auspicious pose, is a beginner level position that aims to stretch your hips, legs, back and shoulders.

The health benefits associated with the swastikasana pose includes enhancing inner peace, improving your breathing and eliminating your stresses and anxieties. More specifically, it also helps alleviate varicose veins and any other fluid retention in the legs. Finally, it also helps relax tired muscles.

However, if you have recently suffered from sciatica and sacral infections, you should always consult a doctor before attempting the position. If possible, always arrange to learn this position under the supervision of an experienced teacher.
